Earl Abel’s delivered 100 meals to healthcare workers at University Hospital
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio’s iconic restaurant Earl Abel’s, who’s been in business for 87-years, delivered 100 of their classic fried chicken meals to hungry healthcare workers at University Hospital on Tuesday.
“All around the world, brave and committed health care workers are tirelessly providing much-needed service,” said Danny Badiola, managing member of Blue Label 88, the managing group for Earl Abel’s. “Although, the restaurant industry has been hit hard by COVID-19, it is nothing compared to the sacrifices being made by the health care frontliners. Serving a home-cooked meal is our way of showing our enormous gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the health and betterment of our community.”
Earl Abel’s tells us their efforts were made possible by the support of an anonymous donor and Devils River Whiskey.
Danny Badiola tells us they plan another community outreach on Monday.
