Devils River New York Sour

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Devils River Rye Whiskey
  • 1 oz. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • .5 oz. dry red wine
  • Lemon twist to garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add the Devils River Rye Whiskey, lemon juice and simple syrup, and to a cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice
  3. Shake!
  4. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice
  5. Gently pour the red wine onto the top of the cocktail by holding the back of a spoon just over the surface of the drink, and pouring the red wine over it, creating a floating effect.
