Captain John’s Coffee

Named after the legendary John Coffee Hays

  • 8-12 oz. fresh-brewed coffee
  • 1 oz. Devils River Whiskey
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • .5 oz. Kahlúa
  • .5 oz. cream or half & half


  • Add whiskey, liqueur, and sugar to glass or mug.
  • Pour hot coffee over and stir.
  • Stir in cream to taste, or top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.
